About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Visual Designer to join the Visual System Team. This role is responsible for the visual identity of OKX products across mobile and web, working at the intersection of brand expression and product design. You will shape how features are visually conceived, integrate brand moments into product flows, and ensure visual systems scale across our ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Design product visual experiences, creating high-quality visual and UI designs for OKX products.
Own the visual execution of key product surfaces from concept to delivery, balancing beauty with clarity.
Contribute to OKX’s visual systems, including illustration styles, motion tokens, color systems, iconography, and UI components.
Strengthen the visual system by creating reusable, scalable assets and patterns.
Translate brand direction into in-product visual experiences, ensuring consistency from marketing to core product.
Adapt visual identity thoughtfully to product goals, user needs, and performance metrics.
Create engaging visual experiences for in-product campaigns, launches, and feature moments.
Actively integrate AI into the design workflow using generative tools for ideation, exploration, variation, prototyping, and asset production.
Partner with product designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure visual design decisions are grounded in user needs and technically feasible.
Participate in design reviews, give and receive critique constructively, and communicate design rationale clearly.
Propose creative concepts to team leads and stakeholders, articulating the reasoning behind visual choices.

Requirements

4–6 years of experience in visual design, UI design, or a digital-focused role within a brand team.
Portfolio demonstrating strong craft, modern taste, and attention to detail.
Experience taking product experiences from wireframes to polished, production-ready UI.
Understanding of how visual design supports usability, hierarchy, trust, product goals, and measurable outcomes.
Strong UI and digital design fundamentals across product, responsive web, and mobile experiences.
Mobile-first experience is essential.
Exceptional visual craft across typography, color, composition, layout, interaction, and detail.
Experience creating or contributing to scalable design systems.
Comfortable working at the intersection of brand and product.
Actively use generative AI tools for ideation, exploration, prototyping, and production.
Clear, collaborative communicator who can articulate design rationale.
Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools.
Ability to communicate interaction and motion intent through high-fidelity prototypes.
Experience creating light animation is a strong plus.
Experience with 3D software or a genuine willingness to learn is highly valued.
Experience designing for fintech, crypto, or trading platforms is a plus.
Strong visual, illustration, and interaction idea skills.
An exceptional eye for layout, composition, and hierarchy.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing speed with a high bar for craft and attention to detail.
Experience working with globally distributed teams across offices and time zones.
Familiarity with how visual design integrates with front-end implementation.
Understanding of CSS, design tokens, and component architecture for effective collaboration with engineers.
