About the Role
Skanska is seeking a General Foreman to supervise daily construction activities for headhouses and shaft structures on the HS2 Main Works project. This role involves coordinating structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural fit-out works, overseeing MEP installations, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in all finishing works.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities for headhouses and shaft structures
- Present start of shift Briefing
- Coordinate structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural fit-out works
- Oversee installation some MEP installations
- Ensure integration between civil/structural works and M&E services
- Supervise internal architectural finishes including partitions, ceilings, flooring, cladding, doors, and finishes
- Ensure high-quality workmanship in all finishing works
Requirements
- Extensive experience in large infrastructure or underground projects
- Proven experience supervising headhouses, shafts, or underground station structures
- Background in M&E systems installation and architectural fit-out
- Experience in testing & commissioning coordination
- Knowledge of relevant construction standards and safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
