About the Role
The EHS Specialist drives environmental, health, and safety (EHS) activities within their assigned business, site, or project. This role ensures compliance with regulations and internal standards, supports risk reduction, fosters a safety culture, and improves environmental performance in collaboration with site operations. Leveraging EHS expertise, the specialist manages daily operations and compliance, contributing to employee safety, environmental protection, and sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage EHS management systems, including policy, goal, and annual plan development and execution.
- Deploy and maintain EHS Framework and internal standards.
- Manage, analyze, and drive improvement activities for EHS-related KPIs.
- Support risk assessments and hazard prediction activities.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and checks, and follow up on improvements.
- Investigate, analyze, and implement recurrence prevention measures for accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
- Manage PPE and promote adherence to safety rules.
- Monitor EHS-related laws and regulations and deploy them internally.
- Support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory authority responses.
- Manage the progress of corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan and implement EHS education and training.
- Provide EHS coaching to leaders and employees.
- Promote Safety Moments, EHS events, and awareness activities.
- Foster a site-led EHS culture and enhance employee engagement.
- Collaborate with related departments such as Facility, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
- Drive EHS projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Respond to global EHS requirements.
