About the Role
We are seeking digital storytellers to shape the future of Seven's Morning Television programmes, Sunrise, Weekend Sunrise, and The Morning Show. This role involves transforming news stories into engaging content for social and video platforms, working at the intersection of journalism, social media, and digital content.
Responsibilities
- Create and publish engaging Morning TV content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and other social platforms.
- Create compelling digital-first content including sponsored content and brand integrations.
- Edit video content for social media, including vertical video, reels, shorts and long-form formats.
- Work closely with producers, hosts and editors to identify content opportunities from on and off air.
- Help grow audiences, engagement and viewership across Morning TV’s social channels.
- Monitor trends, audience behaviour and platform performance to inform content decisions.
- Contribute ideas for new formats, series and storytelling approaches.
- Support coverage of major news events and breaking stories.
Requirements
- A genuine obsession with news, journalism, entertainment and current affairs.
- A strong understanding of social media platforms and what drives engagement.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- A passion for storytelling and creating content people want to watch and share.
- Strong video editing skills using Premier Pro and confidence working across digital platforms.
- Curiosity, creativity and a willingness to experiment with new content formats.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced newsroom environment and respond quickly to breaking news.
