About the Role

Infinite Machine is seeking a Director of Finance & Business Operations to oversee finance, accounting, HR, legal, facilities, and reporting. This is a senior, hands-on role reporting directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

Own financial planning and analysis, including annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range cash flow model.
Manage cash, runway, and working capital, focusing on supplier payment terms, landed cost, and duties/tariffs.
Partner with vehicle operations on inventory planning, purchasing, and cost tracking, managing the financial aspects of stock, landed cost, and supplier terms.
Oversee accounting and the monthly close process, including audit, tax, and sales tax compliance.
Support equity and debt fundraising through model building, investor material preparation, data room management, and diligence.
Manage the cap table, 409A valuations, option grants, and board/investor reporting.
Run HR operations, including payroll, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, compensation planning, and employment compliance.
Manage legal matters with outside counsel, covering agreements, corporate governance, IP, and regulatory issues.
Oversee facilities, including leases, insurance, vendors, and workplace safety, in partnership with vehicle operations.
Develop company reporting on sales, inventory, unit economics, and operating metrics with decision-making dashboards.
Partner with the CEO on special projects, board preparation, priorities, and operating cadence.
Implement scalable systems and processes to support company growth without unnecessary overhead.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in finance, business operations, or strategy.
Experience in an early-stage, venture-backed company.
Experience in hardware, consumer products, automotive, or businesses with physical inventory and overseas manufacturing.
Strong financial modeling skills.
Working command of accounting, including GAAP, monthly close, and audit.
Direct experience with equity or debt raises, from model to close.
Comfort managing outside counsel, accountants, and advisors.
Working knowledge of HR operations, payroll, and benefits at a small company.
Clear writing ability and skill in explaining financial data to non-finance personnel.
Comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and solving problems independently in a fast-paced environment.
