About the Role
Russel Metals is seeking a General Labourer for its London, ON location. This role is crucial for ensuring safe procedures, complying with workplace policies, and providing quality customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring safe procedures are followed while performing job responsibilities
- Complying with workplace policies and procedures (operational and health and safety)
- Running overhead crane and forklift
- Picking and packaging material according to customer specifications
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Ensuring quality customer service
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Able to perform some heavy lifting
- Able to accommodate shift work
- Good knowledge of math and measurements
- Effective communication skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and attention to detail
- Highly safety-oriented, strong situational awareness
- Strong sense of personal accountability
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience operating overhead cranes, band saws, and forklifts
