About the Role

Representing Artists is an artist agency for creatives from film, television, and theater. We combine personal, strategic representation with an innovative digital infrastructure that creates space for the essential: creative work. At the core of our daily agency work are good relationships, clear positioning of our clients, and their successful placement. For our next development step, we are looking for an experienced agency personality in the field of acting or directing & screenwriting. You have been working in an established artist agency for several years, manage artists independently, and want to bring your experience into an environment with scope for design, real co-determination, and a long-term perspective.

Responsibilities

Lead the support of specific clients and shape their artistic positioning and development.
Strategically advise, position, and support clients long-term.
Identify opportunities and projects early and specifically introduce suitable talents.
Independently maintain and expand relationships with casting, production, broadcasters, etc.
Negotiate fees and conditions, review contracts, and bring them to a close.
Develop profiles, materials, and convincing approaches for outreach.
Collaborate with the team to develop attractive project proposals and cross-genre offers and convince suitable industry partners.
Reliably manage and document contacts, project opportunities, and next steps in the CRM.
Accompany the artistic work of our clients and be personally present at performances, premieres, and relevant industry events.
In the focus area of acting, accompany casting processes and further develop positioning, materials, and visibility.
In the focus area of directing & screenwriting, mediate commissioned work, place story ideas, and develop relationships with suitable production and editorial partners.

Requirements

Several years of experience in an established artist agency with a focus on acting or directing & screenwriting.
Independent management of artists and demonstrable success in placement, positioning, and negotiation.
An established, resilient network in the film and television industry.
Strategic judgment, negotiation skills, and a good feel for people, stories, and artistic opportunities.
Proactivity and enjoyment in taking responsibility and contributing to the professional and economic development of the agency.
Clear, appreciative, and personal communication, as well as a willingness to share knowledge within the team.
Independent, reliable working style and openness to digital tools and new ways of working.
Fluent German and English language skills.
