About the Role
Alliance Precision Plastics, a custom injection molder, seeks a Lead responsible for assisting operators to accomplish departmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform job duties to achieve production goals, including operating and monitoring injection molding machines.
- Assist in training operators on orientation, quality systems, and production requirements.
- Communicate shift cross-over with incoming and outgoing personnel, reviewing notes, issues, and concerns.
- Prepare boxes and ensure operators have necessary materials and supplies for production.
- Train and monitor work and quality throughout molding areas, assisting with relief and packaging.
- Perform physical counts of running jobs per shift, evaluate discrepancies, and notify supervisors.
- Move production as necessary and document quantities on Product Transfer forms.
- Enter scrap data into the computer system at least twice per shift and at the end of the shift.
- Follow through on all jobs, including completion, count verification, data entry, and process documentation.
- Work effectively as a team member, supporting company initiatives and maintaining confidentiality.
- Multi-task and work successfully in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to safety.
- Work overtime and outside normal hours to accommodate production needs.
- Perform related duties as directed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diverse workgroup.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work outside normal hours when required.
- Critical attendance and punctuality.
- Math skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities required.
