About the Role

This role focuses on analyzing workflows within holding and subsidiary companies to develop concrete AI and automation use cases. You will bundle ideas into a central portfolio, evaluate them based on various criteria, and translate prioritized use cases into technical solutions. The position involves developing solutions using technologies like Python, APIs, automation tools, LLMs, RAG, and AI agents, testing prototypes, integrating solutions into existing systems, and monitoring their usage and impact. You will also ensure data privacy and IT security requirements are met, manage external service providers, and stay updated on AI developments to propose business-driven innovations.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with holding and subsidiary companies to observe workflows and conduct interviews.
• Develop concrete AI and automation use cases collaboratively with employees.
• Bundle identified and submitted ideas into a central use case portfolio.
• Evaluate use cases based on benefit, feasibility, data availability, risk, and effort.
• Translate prioritized use cases into suitable technical solutions, data flows, and interfaces.
• Develop solutions using Python, APIs, automation tools, LLMs, RAG, and AI agents.
• Test prototypes with business departments, integrate successful solutions into existing systems, and deploy them productively.
• Verify usage and impact post-handover and prepare findings for portfolio development.
• Identify data privacy and IT security requirements early, document them clearly, and initiate necessary reviews.
• Manage external service providers and technology partners, ensuring their services are technically and functionally integrated.
• Monitor relevant AI developments, test suitable technologies, and prepare proposals with business benefits for management.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in analyzing digital processes and developing actionable automation or AI solutions.
• Ability to technically design and implement solutions using Python, APIs, and workflow or automation tools.
• Practical experience with LLMs, RAG, AI agents, or comparable AI technologies, understanding their appropriate application.
• Understanding of data flows, interfaces, and integration into existing system landscapes.
• Capability to develop prototypes with business departments and transition them into stable, usable solutions.
• Economic thinking: Ability to assess and present the benefits, effort, and risks of a use case clearly.
• Confident communication with employees, business departments, IT, and external partners, with the ability to explain technical topics understandably.
• Stay current with new AI developments, critically test relevant technologies, and translate them into concrete ideas with business benefits.
• Independent, structured, and pragmatic work style, ensuring solutions function in daily operations.
• Very good German language skills and confident use of English in a work context.
