About the Role
Skello is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their Data team. This role will focus on business partnering, advanced analytics, data pipeline optimization, and innovation with AI tools. The ideal candidate will act as a technical reference, mentor junior team members, and drive technical and methodological excellence.
Responsibilities
- Be the primary point of contact for various Skello departments (Sales, Finance, Marketing, Product, Ops) to translate business needs into technical and analytical solutions.
- Propose new strategic KPIs and design robust, scalable performance dashboards on Looker.
- Conduct in-depth ad-hoc analyses to answer complex business questions and inform company decision-making.
- Maintain, optimize, and evolve the dbt ETL pipeline connected to the Snowflake data warehouse.
- Design new data models or restructure existing codebases applying market best practices (testing, documentation, code quality).
- Collaborate with technical teams (Data Engineers, Developers) to seamlessly integrate new data sources.
- Serve as a technical reference within the data analytics team, sharing knowledge, mentoring junior profiles, and fostering a culture of rigor.
- Explore and implement AI-powered data tools (documentation generation, analytical agents, query assistance) to drive productivity and innovation.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of experience in Data Analytics, preferably in SaaS B2B or scale-up environments.
- Experience supporting multiple business functions (Sales, Clients, Finance, Marketing, Product, Ops).
- Proven ability to act as a technical reference within an analytics team, mentoring and driving standards without necessarily having direct management experience.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex query writing and optimization.
- Production experience with dbt, including best practices for modeling, codebase structuring, documentation, and testing.
- Experience with Looker (LookML) or a strong background in similar tools like Tableau, Metabase, or Lightdash, with the ability to quickly learn Looker.
- Familiarity with the modern data ecosystem (Airflow, Airbyte, Snowflake).
- Curiosity or practical experience with AI-augmented data tools is a significant plus.
- Fluent in French and English.
