About the Role

This role involves the administration and operation of security-critical IT infrastructures within an isolated network, focusing on information security and the hardening of systems against unauthorized access.

Responsibilities

Administration and operation of security-critical IT infrastructures within an isolated network.
Setup, maintenance, and monitoring of client and server systems with a focus on information security.
Installation and configuration of IT components, preferably BSI-approved hardware (e.g., firewalls, network components, special clients).
Performing system and security updates in network-isolated systems, including the use of physical transfer media.
Application of technical hardening measures to secure the system landscape against unauthorized access.
Management of user and rights concepts within protected network areas.
Documentation of technical systems in accordance with internal and external security and compliance requirements.
Collaboration with information security to comply with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Completed vocational training or degree in IT (e.g., Fachinformatiker Systemintegration, Computer Science) or comparable qualification.
Several years of professional experience in the administration of Windows environments, as well as in Active Directory, network, firewall, storage, and backup.
In-depth knowledge of network technologies, virtualization, and IT security, including experience with security-relevant tools and solutions.
Fluent German language skills (native or comparable level) and solid English skills.
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
