About the Role
Join our Consulting team as a Professional Services Consultant in Sydney. You will assess customer challenges and provide technical solutions for multi-cloud environments, helping Dell Technologies gain market share and increase efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Help customers solve complex business and technology challenges through design, deployment, integration, and migration to cloud platforms (VCF, Azure Local, Redhat, open source).
- Act as a trusted advisor and technical leader, delivering secure, resilient, and scalable platforms across enterprise and defence environments.
- Lead discovery workshops, technical assessments, and solution design for Cloud Platforms and infrastructure projects using Dell hardware.
- Design, deploy, integrate, and migrate to Cloud platforms, including lifecycle management, upgrades, automation, and integration.
- Provide Level 3 support for virtualisation, operating systems, identity services, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Develop solution documentation, implementation plans, test procedures, runbooks, and operational handover materials.
- Present recommendations, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and collaborate with customers and stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, or enterprise infrastructure engineering.
- Experience with enterprise-scale migration projects.
- Strong expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Automation, and associated VMware technologies.
- Expertise with at least one alternative cloud platform to VCF (Redhat, Azure Local, Nutanix).
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, PKI, and backup/recovery solutions.
- Proven analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering complex, mission-critical infrastructure solutions in secure or highly available environments.
- Must have an active NV1 clearance.
- VMware certifications (VCP-DCV, VCP-NV) and VMware Cloud Foundation implementation experience (Desirable).
- Defence, government, or other secure-environment experience (Desirable).
