About the Role
Mission Montessori School is seeking a Lead Primary Teacher in San Francisco, California. This role offers a supportive environment, resources for creating a positive learning atmosphere, and opportunities for career development and advancement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum following the Montessori pedagogy
- Plan engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Assess and document student's progress
- Help lead innovative learning activities that promote children's development and growth
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
- Monitor children's progress and development
- Create a harmonious environment where children and fellow teachers enjoy coming to each day
Requirements
- Lead Teacher Montessori Training and Certificate
- 2-5 Years of Experience required/preferred
- 12 ECE Units and College degree
- Experience working with children ages 3-6
- Willingness to learn and follow the Montessori philosophy is required
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members is required
- The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education is essential
