- Lead customer discovery initiatives with mortgage lenders, loan officers, and operations teams to inform roadmap development.
- Prototype and explore product ideas using AI coding tools and technical expertise to validate concepts and provide starting points for Engineering.
- Craft clear product specifications and acceptance criteria for Engineering and Design teams.
- Define and track success metrics for initiatives, driving post-launch iteration to achieve desired outcomes.
- Act as the customer advocate in technical architecture discussions, ensuring user experience is prioritized.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to shape product positioning and influence sales cycles.
- Make decisive calls on scope to ensure the delivery of focused and well-executed products.
- Travel approximately once a month domestically within the US to customer sites, with occasional additional travel for key milestones.
Requirements
- A technical background, such as software engineering experience, or sufficient depth to read codebases, prototype with AI tools, and contribute to architecture discussions.
- Fluency with LLM concepts including prompting, evaluations, retrieval, and fine-tuning, with the judgment to apply them to user-facing products.
- Experience building B2B SaaS products in a regulated industry (fintech, insurtech, healthcare, or similar).
- Strong customer research skills, including asking effective questions, synthesizing qualitative feedback, and translating it into actionable insights.
- Data fluency, with comfort in pulling dashboards, analyzing quantitative data, and forming hypotheses.
- Proven ability to ship products in a fast-paced startup environment, managing ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information.

- Experience owning product metrics and using them to guide iteration.
