About the Role
RDG is seeking an experienced architect to join our College & University market in New York City. This role involves designing innovative spaces, leading marketing efforts for the College & University market in the northeast, and mentoring the team to foster growth. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, proactive, and motivated to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities
- Serve as regional higher education market leader for client relationship development and maintenance in the Northeast Region.
- Collaborate with RDG’s College & University and Health Science Education teams, as well as other market leaders.
- Collaborate with multiple disciplines, clients, and the public.
- Assist in recruiting and building the New York, college & university, and health science education teams.
- Act as a mentor and resource for internal team members.
- Produce presentations that communicate design knowledge, inspire clients, and effectively convey design solutions.
Requirements
- Possess strong leadership, written, and verbal skills to instill confidence and trust in clients and staff.
- Serve as a resource for the New York office, helping to grow RDG's brand and market share.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, collaboration, excellent soft skills, relationship building, and execution strengths.
- Exhibit sound design communication and presentation skills.
- Show a demonstrated history of building long-term relationships with team members and clients.
- Be able to develop successful strategies for completing work on time and budget.
