About the Role
WEIS is seeking associates who are passionate about teamwork, associate growth, and community involvement, offering respect, understanding, and appreciation.
Responsibilities
- Smile and greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns promptly, politely, and professionally.
- Follow company policies for customer check out to increase satisfaction.
- Identify and shop customer orders promptly, ensuring accuracy and freshness.
- Operate Front End scanning equipment and register, performing all related check out procedures.
- Bag merchandise efficiently and place it in the customer's cart.
- Contact customers by phone to address any questions or concerns.
- Operate console and picker devices to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to answer customer questions.
- Ensure accuracy during transactions, collecting appropriate funds and following security measures.
- Follow all store and legal guidelines regarding the sale of tobacco and alcohol.
- Maintain general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and guidelines.
- Dispose of trash properly.
- Cooperate with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth function of the department and store.
- Continuously improve job performance.
- Utilize all company-provided Personal Protected Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in other departments as needed.
