About the Role
Notion is seeking an experienced Lifecycle Marketing Manager, Campaign Strategy & Execution to develop and implement campaigns that drive user value discovery, workflow adoption, and deeper Notion usage. This role involves end-to-end campaign ownership, from strategy and audience definition to creative coordination, launch, and performance measurement, requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
Responsibilities
- Own the campaign portfolio, independently leading launch, one-off, and evergreen lifecycle campaigns with clear prioritization and predictable delivery.
- Translate product launches, lifecycle moments, and business priorities into clear objectives, audiences, journeys, channel plans, and success metrics.
- Develop campaigns across onboarding, activation, adoption, collaboration, monetization, retention, and resurrection.
- Execute campaigns from brief to measurement, including audience creation, build, QA, localization, launch readiness, and post-campaign analysis across email and in-product messaging.
- Audit existing programs and recommend improvements, leading the rebuild of priority onboarding or adoption journeys.
- Develop testable hypotheses and use segmentation, personalization, holdouts, and A/B tests to understand incremental impact.
- Connect campaigns to activation, product adoption, collaboration, conversion, retention, or qualified sales outcomes.
- Coordinate dependencies across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Product Marketing, Marketing Operations, Demand Generation, Sales, and external partners.
- Create repeatable systems, such as templates and playbooks, to improve campaign quality and velocity.
- Help cross-functional partners execute effectively while maintaining Lifecycle's strategic, customer-experience, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Significant experience owning lifecycle, CRM, growth, or product-marketing campaigns from strategy through execution.
- A track record of independently leading complex, cross-functional campaigns at meaningful scale.
- Strong customer-journey thinking across activation, adoption, engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Hands-on experience with a lifecycle platform such as Customer.io, Braze, Iterable, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Strong audience segmentation, personalization, experimentation, and campaign-measurement skills.
- Ability to use data to prioritize opportunities, evaluate results, and change strategy; working knowledge of SQL or self-serve analytics is a plus.
- Excellent project leadership: clear briefs, dependable execution, proactive risk management, and crisp stakeholder communication.
- Strong editorial and customer judgment—you care about sending useful, relevant messages rather than maximizing message volume.
- Comfort operating in a product-led, highly cross-functional environment with incomplete information.
- Experience with B2B or product-led growth, product telemetry, in-product messaging, or AI-assisted campaign workflows is a plus.
- 8+ total years relevant + transferrable experience.
