About the Role

As Senior Accounts Receivable Technician, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment posting, ledger reconciliation, and client communication for outstanding balances. • Drive collections through reminders, follow-ups, and direct client conversations to reduce DSO and minimize delinquencies.
  • Implement credit policies and procedures, apply credit limits and terms, and conduct credit checks for new clients.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger, verify discrepancies, and ensure accurate payment posting.
  • Handle billing disputes directly and professionally with clients.
  • Generate AR status statements and reports, tracking key indicators like DSO, aging, collection effectiveness, bad debt to sales, and dispute rate.
  • Review and refine AR processes and policies to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Automate invoicing, reminders, and collection steps using technology.
  • Coordinate with Agents, Talent Management, and Operations to ensure billing accuracy and resolve payment-related issues.
  • Identify and mitigate credit and collection risks across the client base.
  • Analyze receivables patterns and provide recommendations to reduce outstanding balances and improve profitability.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or accounting operations.
  • Thorough grounding in accounting principles.
  • Hands-on command of the full AR cycle: invoicing, collections, cash application, reconciliations, and dispute resolution.
  • Working knowledge of credit procedures, including credit checks, limits, and payment terms.
  • Comfort with AR metrics and reporting (DSO, aging, CEI, bad debt to sales).
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with tact for handling past-due accounts.
  • Strong organizational discipline to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Experience in a talent agency, entertainment, media, advertising, creative, or similar industry is an asset.
