About the Role

The Americas Marketing Programs & Platforms team is seeking a Senior Events Manager to own Cloudflare's events across both sponsored and hosted programs. This role involves setting event strategy, managing complex event programs end-to-end, and acting as a liaison between marketing and sales to drive pipeline and revenue. The position requires a builder's mindset, leveraging AI to automate tasks and improve event execution.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution for Cloudflare's Tier 1 event portfolio across the Americas, spanning both sponsored and hosted events.
Build and manage the annual event portfolio, prioritization framework, and budget.
Define objectives for every event and align cross-functional teams.
Own the full strategy and execution of complex, multifaceted Cloudflare-hosted event programs from concept to post-event follow-up.
Design the attendee experience across every facet of hosted events.
Build the cross-functional team and run-of-show for each event, managing agencies, vendors, speakers, and internal stakeholders.
Own the hosted-event budget, timeline, and risk plan.
Lead booth strategy and experience design on the expo floor for sponsored events.
Drive the thought leadership motion for sponsored events, including speaker submissions and session strategy.
Negotiate and manage sponsorships and branding opportunities.
Build and run the field activation motion for every Tier 1 show and hosted event.
Equip AEs, SDRs, SEs, and CSMs to make the most of our presence.
Drive registrations and attendance against target accounts and pipeline goals for hosted events.
Partner with Sales Operations and Marketing Operations to ensure lead capture, routing, and attribution are airtight.
Define and report on KPIs that matter for each event and communicate ROI.
Own vendor and agency relationships, production partners, and cross-functional contributors.
Build lightweight tools and automations using AI to streamline event operations.
Run retrospectives after every major show and event and turn learnings into a better playbook.

Requirements

7+ years in event marketing, experiential marketing, or field marketing, with deep experience owning both hosted and sponsored events end-to-end.
Proven track record leading complex, high-budget event programs ($1M+ annual budgets).
Strong sales-enablement instinct and ability to tie events to tangible, attributable revenue.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to run multiple events simultaneously.
Experience managing agencies and developing interns or junior marketers.
Agility and comfort shifting between hosted and sponsored programs.
Experience working with AI tools to build solutions, automate workflows, and solve problems.
Natural curiosity and ability to ask insightful questions.
Exceptional cross-functional leadership: comfortable aligning product, sales, brand, PR, and executive stakeholders.
Sharp budget management, vendor negotiation, and agency management skills.
Data-driven mindset: comfortable working with Salesforce, marketing automation, and lead routing/attribution.
Bias for action and willingness to experiment with new approaches.
