About the Role
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Midtown is seeking an exceptional Licensed Dermatology Veterinary Technician to join their team. This role is crucial for providing high-quality veterinary care and supporting the hospital's mission.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with different people in high-stress situations
- Triage and obtain patient history
- Perform venipuncture and place intravenous catheters
- Utilize Dermatology terms
- Swab for Otic Cytology, and ear mite preparation
- Prepare for Skin Biopsy
- Recognize alopecia, nodules, and tumors
- Perform Anesthesia monitoring
- Perform CPR
- Perform radiographs
- Perform diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients
- Be familiar and proficient with aseptic techniques
- Be familiar with laboratory procedures and practices
Requirements
- Licensed Dermatology Veterinary Technician
- Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.
