This is a hands-on role where you will draft, pitch, and run media outreach yourself while helping shape the strategy behind it.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the media relations strategy across brands and cultivate national and healthcare industry outlets, directly and through our PR agency.
  • Build and execute integrated PR plans aligned to business goals and the marketing strategy for multiple brands, including defining KPIs.
  • Write and edit press releases, media statements, talking points, fact sheets, and executive messaging. Partner with content and social teams to amplify coverage.
  • Facilitate the PR agency relationship, including performance, scope, and budget recommendations.
  • Own and maintain an editorial calendar across brands.
  • Lead cross-functional response to significant issues with legal, HR, and executive partners, and own crisis playbook updates and spokesperson readiness.
  • Track coverage, share of voice, reach, message pull-through, and pipeline. Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Support the work to position executives and subject matter experts through bylines, speaking opportunities, awards, and industry commentary.

Requirements

  • Executive presence and sound news judgment to advise senior leaders and coach spokespeople.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, produced accurately on tight timelines.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities across divisions, executives, and agency partners, and stay steady in fast-moving situations.
  • Strong planning and attention to detail to manage calendars, approvals, and accuracy standards across multiple brands.
  • Ability to tie PR activity to business outcomes using measures such as share of voice, message pull-through, and sentiment.
  • Demonstrates integrity and discretion with confidential information.
  • Collaborative team player and ability to build relationships across the organization.
  • Deals well with ambiguity and has worked in a complex industry or multi-brand organizations.
  • Adaptable and quick to pivot when priorities or results change.
  • Exceptional vendor management skills.
