About the Role
You will be one of our first hires and a founding engineer, working in-person with customers nationwide. You will own significant product areas and have a substantial impact on architecture, technology stack, and product strategy.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand problems and ship solutions rapidly.
- Own entire features end-to-end, including UX, design, context engineering, evaluations, and schema.
- Help shape engineering culture, practices, and team norms from the outset.
- Collaborate on product and business decisions.
- Work with the Head of Parts Intelligence to encode tacit repair knowledge into tokens for the AI.
Requirements
- Sharp, scrappy, and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
- Excited to immerse yourself in a historically overlooked space.
- Enjoy interacting with and respecting the knowledge of blue-collar professionals.
- Previous startup founding experience or a desire to found a startup in the future.
- Desire to work on real-world problems impacting individuals, not large corporations.
- Experience with or strong interest in voice AI (e.g., Pipecat, Vapi), AI agents (e.g., Browserbase, Vercel AI SDK), or multimodal AI reasoning.
- Bonus: Knowledge of how engines work or a strong desire to learn.
