About the Role
Meta's Global Operations team supports users connecting with friends and family, discovering the world, and interacting with businesses. The Risk, Monitoring and Controls (RMC) team operationalizes risk management, protecting Meta from compliance and audit risks by implementing and enhancing internal and external controls. This role focuses on translating risk and control frameworks into practical operating routines and ensuring compliance with platform policies, protecting user data through developer vetting and reviews.
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and operate risk management processes and protocols supporting broader operations teams' control execution, monitoring, evidence standards, escalation paths, and issue intake.
- Partner with process owners to translate second line risk requirements and control expectations into concrete, executable operating procedures.
- Run control monitoring and testing for first line self-assessment, including sampling, quality review, and evidence readiness.
- Identify friction and failure patterns in operational controls and drive process redesign or automation.
- Serve as the connective tissue between operations teams, second line risk and compliance functions, Legal, and audit.
- Manage and maintain compliance monitoring programs and periodic testing procedures, including planning, reviewing, evaluating risks, and identifying improvements.
- Independently manage and perform compliance reviews and audits of internal business processes and third-party developers.
- Conduct process walkthroughs with external regulators/auditors and provide requisite data and documentation.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal cross-functional areas and influence positive change.
- Draft, monitor, and escalate Management Action Plans for open compliance findings through resolution.
- Prepare reports for management on compliance program results and performance.
- Make recommendations to improve processes, lessen risks, and improve future audit results.
- Liaise with Product Counsel on developments in applicable regulations and policies impacting the business, including consumer privacy protection and data security best practices.
Requirements
- Communication and presentation skills with technical and non-technical audiences as well as communicating effectively with executives.
- 4+ years of proven project management experience.
- Experience managing, influencing, and driving strategic solutions across multiple teams including technical teams.
- Experience operating effectively and autonomously in situations of extreme ambiguity.
- 4+ years of analytical and problem-solving experience.
- Experience with automation deployment and understanding of automation technologies.
