About the Role
We're on a mission to bring joy to the business of events by providing software that streamlines operations for event rental companies. Goodshuffle Pro manages invoicing, payment processing, inventory, and logistics, transforming how the entire industry operates.
Responsibilities
- Build products that people love using by understanding customer needs through discovery calls and warehouse visits.
- Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from shaping requirements with cross-functional teams to architecting for scale.
- Manage complex data modeling, migrations, distributed system design, and intuitive UX.
- Support production systems, ensuring reliability and automating routine tasks.
- Troubleshoot and fix issues at the root cause to prevent recurrence.
- Operate with an AI-first mentality, staying current with AI advancements and identifying opportunities for integration.
- Instrument and measure the outcome of work, proposing iterations for the product roadmap.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- A Computer Science degree.
- Experience shipping products used in daily life.
- Experience building distributed systems.
- Excitement and energy for the rapid advancements in AI.
- Ability to write requirements carefully, think through edge cases, and mitigate risk.
- Curiosity and a drive to learn, understand different perspectives, and solve problems empathetically.
- Ability to balance organizational rigor with adaptability, track commitments, and keep documentation current.
- Systems thinking approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to explain work clearly to non-engineers.
