About the Role
Support emergency and specialty teams while helping clients and referring veterinarians navigate their experience with compassion, clear communication, and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and provide compassionate, professional support in person and over the phone
- Educate clients and referring veterinarians about available emergency and specialty services
- Coordinate and schedule appointments within our multi-specialty animal hospital
- Handle reminder and follow-up communications by phone and email
- Accurately update and maintain client and patient records and files
- Communicate effectively with clients, referring veterinarians, and hospital team members
- Support the needs of our emergency and specialty departments in a fast-paced environment
- Help create a positive client experience during both routine and emotionally challenging situations
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to create a welcoming, professional first impression for clients and referring veterinary partners
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency and specialty veterinary hospital environment
- Strong multitasking, organization, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to adapt when priorities change or unexpected situations arise
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a commitment to respectful communication
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate compassionately with pet owners, including during stressful or emotional situations
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
