About the Role
Take the next step in your fund accounting career by leading a team supporting sophisticated hedge fund clients while developing your leadership and client management skills. As an Associate Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional client service, mentoring team members, and driving operational excellence in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the U.S. Client Service Fund Accounting team, helping manage workflow, priorities, and deliverables.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor accounting professionals while supporting their growth and development.
- Review fund accounting deliverables, including P&L reporting, NAV calculations, pricing, and economic allocations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, partner capital statements, and other client reporting.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by serving as a key point of contact and ensuring high-quality service.
- Support new client onboardings, fund launches, reorganizations, and platform conversions.
- Resolve fund accounting and operational issues while escalating complex matters as appropriate.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to team members and clients.
- Coordinate audit requests and support the external audit process.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, testing, and implementation projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of fund accounting experience with a hedge fund administrator
- 1+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, audit support, and investor allocations
- Solid understanding of corporate actions
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and hedge fund accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with a broad range of financial instruments, including equities, fixed income, repurchase agreements, futures, foreign exchange, mortgages, or options
