About the Role

Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide PRN rehabilitation services. The role involves evaluating and treating geriatric patients with complex needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Evaluating and treating geriatric patients with complex medical, cognitive, and functional needs.
Developing individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, daily living skills, and overall functional independence.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, speech therapists, and physical therapists to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
Providing adaptive equipment training, fall prevention strategies, and patient/caregiver education.
Providing high-quality care across variable schedules and patient acuity levels.

Requirements

Must possess a current license and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist, OT in the State of NY.
Must possess current malpractice insurance and license in good standing.
Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care.
Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, and passionate about quality care.
Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents.
Patience, a cheerful disposition, and willingness to assist any residents and co-workers.
Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills.
Trusted to work independently and in a team environment.
Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and will work harmoniously with all staff.
