About the Role
Open Fertility is seeking a Community Events Marketing Intern to bring its mission of making high-quality fertility care accessible to more people to Astoria and surrounding neighborhoods. This hands-on role is for a student who wants real ownership and responsibility in planning, promoting, and hosting community education-focused events, building local partnerships, and connecting attendees to the care team.
Responsibilities
- Conceive and plan a recurring calendar of community events (target 1-2 per month), such as fertility education nights, egg-freezing info sessions, and partner-hosted workshops
- Own end-to-end logistics: venue sourcing, run-of-show, speaker coordination with Open Fertility providers, materials, RSVPs, setup, and on-site hosting
- Gather attendee feedback and refine event strategy – formats, topics, timing, and channels based on what drives attendance and follow-up
- Build relationships with local organizations in Astoria, Long Island City, and greater Queens, including OB/GYN and primary care practices, wellness studios, community and cultural organizations, and local employers
- Coordinate with our growth marketing team to promote events through Open Fertility social channels, event platforms, email, community boards, flyers, and partner networks
- Represent Open Fertility at relevant community fairs, health events, and neighborhood gatherings
- Turn events into content: recaps, photos, short-form video, and FAQs that support Open Fertility’s social presence and local search content
- Help translate common attendee questions into clear, accessible patient-education materials, reviewed by clinical and marketing leadership
Requirements
- Highly organized self-starter who can own a project from idea to execution with limited supervision
- Strong written communication skills and working familiarity with social media and basic design tools (e.g., Canva)
- Desire to learn and leverage the leading AI tools (e.g., Claude and ChatGPT)
- Comfort with spreadsheets and simple tracking to report on event results
- Availability for some evening and weekend events; based in or able to commute reliably to Astoria
- Comfortable speaking to groups, hosting events, and engaging strangers warmly and professionally
- Genuine interest in reproductive health, fertility access, and community health education
- Prior experience in event planning, community outreach, health promotion, or campus organizing
- Existing connections to communities, organizations, or networks in Queens
- Fluency in Spanish, a language widely spoken among our Astoria patient population
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or event platforms (e.g., Eventbrite)

About the Company
- Open Fertility is committed to making exceptional fertility care accessible to more people.
- From egg freezing to IVF, we simplify and streamline treatments so patients can pursue their reproductive goals with confidence.
- We’re looking for passionate, driven individuals who want to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.
- As part of our rapidly growing team, you’ll help innovate fertility care and transform the patient experience.
- Our clinics are currently open in Roseville, CA and Astoria, NY, with Denver, CO coming soon.
- Open Fertility exists to make high-quality fertility care accessible to more people.
- For many patients, cost is the biggest barrier to building a family: IVF and egg freezing are frequently out of reach, and many people are left with few insurance options and limited information about price.
- Open Fertility removes those barriers with transparent, all-in pricing and a streamlined care model designed around what patients truly need to meet their goals.
- We serve people who might otherwise delay, forego, or be priced out of treatment altogether.
- Open Fertility is powered by Spring Fertility, one of the country’s most respected fertility practices.
- Our patients benefit from Spring’s clinical standards, laboratory expertise, and protocols.
- Open delivers that care through a leaner, more focused experience led by a dedicated team of providers.
- The result is care that is affordable without being a compromise: the same commitment to quality and outcomes, at a price more people can reach.
Equal Opportunity
- At Open Fertility, we believe that everyone who wants a family deserves to have one, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, or religion.
- Just as we acknowledge and value the diversity of goals, life experiences, and unique paths to parenthood among our patients, we also actively celebrate diversity within our organization.
- We are an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to a safe and inclusive work environment for all.
- We recognize that diversity among our team allows us to not only more effectively serve our patients, but also to advance innovation and opportunity within our field.
- We encourage qualified applicants of every background, ability, and life experience to apply to our employment opportunities.
- Open Fertility will ensure that persons with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations.
- If reasonable accommodation is needed to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and/or to receive other benefits and privileges of employment, please give us a call.
