About the Role
The Café/Deli Attendant will work at our Java Ranch Café, courteously and professionally serving meals to residents and guests. This role is key in public relations due to direct contact with residents and their guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to standardized recipes, portion control, and serving methods.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Perform pre-opening and closing checklist duties.
- Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and guests.
- Properly store and label prepared foods.
- Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, and product rotations.
- Alert management of any concerns or problems pertaining to residents, guests, or associates.
- Operate POS system to register sales.
- Maintain back-stock areas and assist in monthly inventory.
- Train other staff as needed.
- Maintain work areas and ensure department compliance with OSHA safety standards.
Requirements
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with other associates.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess interest and initiative to learn quickly.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to build relationships with residents and coworkers to provide excellent customer service.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs to waist height and 35 lbs to shoulder height.
- Must be able to push 200 lbs on a cart with casters.
