About the Role
We are seeking a Research Scientist (Immunoassay) to contribute to assay development at Level Zero Health, accelerating our mission to deliver clinical-grade, real-time biomarker monitoring through next-generation biosensing. You will develop and optimize lateral flow assay formulations and manufacturing procedures, design and execute experiments, and translate assay data into actionable conclusions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize lateral flow assay formulations and manufacturing procedures.
- Design and run experiments to test hypotheses and solve technical problems.
- Turn raw assay data into clear conclusions that drive iteration.
- Guide the work of Research Assistants.
- Maintain an electronic laboratory notebook to company standards.
- Communicate progress, findings, and suggestions in meetings.
- Help develop the technical skills of Research Assistants.
Requirements
- Relevant Scientific degree and extensive experience developing ELISA, LFA, or other immunoassay techniques.
- Awareness of product development, good laboratory practice, and safe working in an industrial laboratory.
- Comfortable working with human samples such as blood.
- Ability to design experiments to answer research questions in a timely manner.
- Ability to format and analyze raw assay response data and derive conclusions.
- Ability to perform statistical tests to determine significance.
- Awareness of the context of deliverables within the broader assay development plan.
- Ability to integrate quickly into a new team and work collaboratively.
- Recent experience working under ISO13485 or ISO9001 and GLP in an industrial laboratory, developing immunoassays (nice to have).
