You will report into the General Manager for the Digital Ordering and Point of Sale within DoorDash’s broader DashOS org. Your key priorities include utilizing growth sense and technical expertise to guide merchants on integrating the DoorDash Commerce Platform, and leading a team to influence product roadmaps and drive merchant growth through quality initiatives and experimentation.

Responsibilities

  • Guide merchants through how the DoorDash Commerce Platform can fit into their business, team and tech infrastructure.
  • Become an expert in both our product suite as well as restaurant tech stacks, processes, and common challenges.
  • Act as a consultant and key contributor to the sales process, interacting with merchant CEOs, CTOs, and CMOs.
  • Lead a team to influence product roadmaps and drive same store sales for merchants via quality initiatives and growth experimentation.
  • Help restaurants alter their growth trajectory and iteratively optimize same store sales through experimentation, analysis, marketing, and more.
  • Scale a business that is a pivotal strategic bet for the company.
  • Build an AI forward set of Commerce tools.
  • Help merchants customize and optimize their first-party digital ordering experience.
  • Work on high-visibility initiatives alongside cross-functional leaders in product, engineering, and strategy.
  • Leverage a data-driven approach to guide optimizing both your time and merchant resources.
  • Consult and win new business by building trust with merchants and guiding them through complex decisions to re-envision their tech stack.
  • Drive measurable results by focusing resources on areas of greatest opportunity.
  • Ensure successful execution by meticulously anticipating and addressing potential challenges during rapid scaling.
  • Work directly with internal and external partners to implement strategies and scale processes while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Develop comprehensive strategies to support and scale the Digital Ordering business.
  • Tailor strategies to leverage DoorDash’s technology and maximize impact and growth for restaurant partners.
  • Establish and own the infrastructure needed for massive business growth.
  • Lead 0 to 1 opportunities, creating roadmaps for future growth vectors and owning key outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships with merchant partners and across DoorDash, including Product, Engineering, Account Management, Analytics, Finance, and others.
  • Leverage complex datasets and qualitative inputs to generate insights and recommendations.
  • Use data and experimentation to refine processes and drive measurable improvements.
  • Represent the DoorDash brand with humility and a customer-first mindset.
  • Navigate ambiguous environments and provide structure for undefined opportunities by creating playbooks and templates.
  • Precisely communicate plans to align your team and cross-functional partners with your goals.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in solutions architecture (commerce experience strongly preferred), sales engineering, growth, product, product ops, strategy/biz ops, or technical GTM roles – ideally in a fast-paced environment focused on outcomes.
  • Ability to interface with senior audiences, internally and externally.
  • Ability to easily articulate complex details and help audiences quickly understand the “so what”.
  • High EQ: ability to “read the room” and quickly build rapport + credibility with XFN partners (esp technical and senior audiences).
  • Strong growth sense: ability to differentiate signal from noise and pull levers to iteratively optimize within a feedback loop.
  • Extreme sense of ownership: take full responsibility for scope of work, be proactive in solving ambiguous problems, and inspire teammates.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring no small element is overlooked and anticipating issues.
  • Thrive on building from the ground up, creating structure and process, and being resourceful with minimal oversight.
  • Willingness to do whatever it takes to get things done; no responsibility or task is too trivial or tactical.
  • Ability to move fast and achieve results quickly.
