Responsibilities
- Listen to shift report attentively to set priorities of resident care.
- Follow resident assignment sheet containing the plan of care.
- Report pertinent resident care information to the licensed nurse throughout the shift.
- Report to the licensed nurse when leaving the unit and at the end of the shift.
- Maintain physical and emotional needs of residents with respect and compassion per individual plan of care and ECH policy.
- Provide transportation for residents to and from activities and appointments as assigned.
- Perform treatments per CNA certification under the direction of a licensed nurse.
- Provide a clean and safe resident environment.
- Be punctual and work according to the daily schedule.
- Interact with co-workers and team members respectfully and courteously.
- Provide assistance to co-workers as requested.
- Be courteous and helpful to residents, families, and peers.
- Communicate pertinent information to co-workers to ensure compliance with resident care standards.
- Follow the chain of command.
- Respond positively to suggestions and guidance.
- Be respectful and courteous to residents, visitors, and co-workers.
- Meet all certification and re-certification requirements as set by regulation.
- Follow the dress code per policy.
- Complete ADL documentation by the end of the scheduled shift.
Requirements
- NYS Certified Nursing Assistant credentials required.
- Interest and experience in working with older adults required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Reading, comprehension, and writing ability at a 12th-grade level or higher required.
- Ability to lift loads of 50 pounds occasionally without assistance.
- Ability to sit, talk, and hear is required.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

- $20.25 - $22.25 per hour
- $1.50 - $4.00 additional per hour for shift differentials (Evening, Night, Weekend)
