About the Role
We are seeking a Sales Associate to develop new business relationships and provide first-level support to existing clients. This role involves understanding our services, identifying prospective customers, and closing sales opportunities. You will promote our services, manage client expectations, and handle pricing and contractual matters. A key aspect is learning about each client's industry to identify new business opportunities and deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Develop an effective understanding of the capability, benefits, and competitive advantages of TransPerfect’s services.
- Identify prospective customers and individual organizations to focus on sales activities.
- Develop new client relationships via cold calling, the Internet, and trade shows.
- In coordination with Sales Management, identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities.
- Promote and educate clients regarding TransPerfect’s services.
- Provide customer support and manage client expectations in liaison with the Production Management Team.
- Manage and control pricing and contractual issues by developing a thorough understanding of company procedures.
- Take an active role in learning about each client’s industry, business needs, and company culture to identify new business opportunities and provide a high level of service.
- Perform other special projects or duties when required.
Requirements
- Previous working experience in a high-tech environment.
- Familiarity and ability to communicate issues related to web technologies, desktop publishing software, database, and network environments.
- Good analytical skills needed to project revenues, monitor budgets, and other necessary calculations.
- Willingness to travel to offsite client or sales meetings.
Skills
- Solid communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to keep a cool head under pressure.
- Ability to own your role and take responsibility for clients and their business success.
- Superior written and spoken communication skills in German & English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Education Level
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
