About the Role
This is an internship-level role in civil engineering for future graduates. You will apply foundational knowledge to support tasks of limited scope and complexity under close supervision. The role focuses on building practical experience and understanding of engineering practices in a real-world consulting environment.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate reports by collecting data from standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.
- Provide technical support to inspections of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and remedial works.
- Undertake engineering design and brief drawings, under supervision, to create design packages.
- Follow health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and instructions to identify and mitigate risks.
- Implement improvements and carry out simple change management tasks.
- Carry out simple knowledge management tasks by following established procedures.
- Develop and maintain process or technical skills through assessment, development planning, and training.
- Carry out product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Class 2:1 degree (or above) in Civil / Structural Engineering or other relevant subjects.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Candidates must be graduating after May 2027.
