About the Role

Marketing Operations at Mimecast connects marketing to revenue by architecting, governing, and scaling systems, data, and processes to ensure agile campaign execution, high lead quality, and measurable pipeline conversion. This role is focused on rebuilding lead management from the ground up, designing a new system rather than maintaining the old one. The position owns lead management end-to-end, including campaign orchestration, predictive lead scoring, enrichment, data quality governance, and routing.

Responsibilities

  • Own lead management end-to-end: campaign orchestration, predictive lead scoring, enrichment and data quality governance, and routing.
  • Define the lead management model and operate the tools that run it.
  • Manage outcomes, workflows, and AI agents.
  • Take an audience-first approach to every campaign, building, segmenting, and optimizing target lists.
  • Own campaign orchestration end to end, turning requirements into scalable, self-service workflows.
  • Act as the hands-on technical partner for complex, multi-region programs.
  • Build and validate the lead scoring model, evolving it from rules-based to predictive.
  • Govern data quality and enrichment across the funnel, including cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment.
  • Extend data ownership beyond the marketing automation platform in partnership with GTM Operations and IT.
  • Bring strong command of lead routing tools to ensure timely lead evaluation and follow-up.
  • Direct and continuously improve AI agents for campaign orchestration, lead scoring, and routing.
  • Manage campaign activation via Marketo and Salesforce, alongside intent and enrichment tools.
  • Serve as the consultative partner for marketers regarding lead quality and follow-up.
  • Help the wider team increase their use of AI and automation.
  • Partner across GTM, Data, IT, and Legal teams to enable campaign solutions.
  • Set rules, review output, and make judgment-based decisions for AI agents.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in marketing operations, demand generation operations, with direct ownership of lead management, scoring, routing, and data quality.
  • Hands-on experience with Marketo and Salesforce, including data flow between them.
  • Experience with intent and automation platforms such as 6Sense, Clay, G2, and Usergems.
  • Understanding of signal quality, not just tool configuration.
  • Expertise in lead routing and lifecycle tools such as Traction (or an equivalent LeanData).
  • Understanding of how routing logic connects to scoring, territory rules, and sales handoff.
  • Experience creating adopted automations, integrations, internal tools, or AI-powered workflows.
  • Comfort working with data, APIs, and technical systems.
  • Ability to understand complex or evolving business needs and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills for non-technical audiences.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset and an interest in identifying opportunities, reducing bottlenecks, and making recurring work more efficient.
  • Successful completion of applicable background checks.

About the Company

  • The work people build is worth protecting, and it's harder to protect than it used to be. AI agents now move at machine speed with human-level access, and a small slip-up can become a very public one. We disrupt cybercriminal activity before that happens. We think fast, go big, and always demand more of ourselves. We work hard, deliver, and repeat. We grow with real determination and put success well within reach. We push each other to be better and expect to be pushed back, in a community built on respect, where everyone is counted. Work Protected.

Equal Opportunity

  • We're proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer, and we’d encourage you to join us whatever your background. We particularly welcome applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups.
  • We consider everyone equally: your race, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, marital status, nationality, or any other protected characteristic won’t affect your application.
