About the Role
We are seeking a colleague to join our Business Faculty in Dubai on a full-time basis. This role involves delivering engaging modules, creating real-world connections, and fostering an inclusive learning experience. You will play an instrumental role in delivering high-quality, future-oriented education, empowering students with the skills and mindset needed to thrive globally.
Responsibilities
- Conducting introductory and advanced courses in Digital Business, Digital Transformation, Digital Strategy and Innovation, Applied Data Science, Business Analytics, and Decision Support Systems.
- Planning and implementing interdisciplinary research and development projects, including scholarly publications in the fields of Digital Business, Digital Transformation, Business Analytics, and Data-Driven Innovation.
- Advising and supervising students.
- Grading student work, supervising seminars, projects, and bachelor/master theses.
- Establishing industry collaborations and partnerships.
- Participating in university administration and committee work.
- Contributing to the conceptual design of new study programs and the continuous development of existing curricula.
- Advising prospective students and contributing to outreach activities.
Requirements
- University studies in Digital Business, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Digital Management, or a related field, completed with a Master degree and a PhD/Doctoral Degree.
- Proof of exceptional aptitude for scientific work, usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate and/or the quality of scientific publications.
- At least three years of qualified professional experience, with two years outside of a university, in Digital Business, Digital Transformation, Applied Data Science, Business Analytics, or related domain.
- Experience teaching lectures in Digital Business, Digital Transformation, Digital Strategy, Applied Data Science, and Business Analytics.
- Experience in teaching advanced versions of these courses is an advantage.
- National and international work experience.
- Ability to teach courses in English.
- Ability to teach courses in German is an advantage.
- Publication and research activity is a strong asset.
- Commitment to applied research, student engagement, and curriculum innovation.
- Strong ability to communicate and work in a team.
