About the Role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead technical aspects of client projects, focusing on implementing and optimizing software integration, deployment processes, and IT infrastructure. This role involves creating hybrid cloud architectures, managing software releases and tests, containerizing applications, and automating development and integration workflows using CI/CD practices.
Responsibilities
- Take on technical leadership in client projects.
- Implement and execute software integration and deployment processes.
- Maintain and optimize IT infrastructures.
- Create (hybrid) cloud architectures (e.g., with AWS, Azure, or Google).
- Generate software releases and design/conduct software tests.
- Containerize applications (e.g., with Kubernetes or Docker).
- Automate development, testing (test automation), and integration.
- Manage and release code and system resources in versions using Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) (e.g., with Jenkins or Git).
Requirements
- Academic degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in Computer Science or similar with top grades.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a DevOps or Cloud Engineer after graduation.
- Proficiency in at least one cloud environment, ideally AWS; Azure is a plus.
- Skilled in Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with automation or build tools like Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK, Gradle, or Maven.
- Passion for programming and scripting with strong backend knowledge in Java or Python.
- Interest in Cyber Security.
- Enjoys continuously expanding and improving skills.
- Ability to explain complex technology clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Enjoys mentoring.
- Fluent German (C2 level) and good English skills.
- Residence and work permit in Germany.
- Go or Pulumi experience is a plus.
- GitOps experience with ArgoCD and Helm is a plus.
- Observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry is a plus.
- Architecture experience: Microservices, DDD, Event-Driven Systems, Clean Architecture is a plus.
- Experience with Cloud migrations, Multi- or Hybrid-Cloud, OpenStack is a plus.
- Experience as a technical lead in client projects is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, CKA) are a plus, or willingness to obtain them.

Salary/Compensations
- Up to €85,000 gross per year plus acquisition and certification bonuses
