About the Role
As a central interface between Sales, Production, and Supply Chain, you will align market and customer requirements with our production capacities, developing robust medium and long-term planning scenarios. Your focus will be on the proactive management of our production capacities by analyzing data, identifying trends and bottlenecks early, and independently deriving decision proposals and measures for the future direction of production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage medium and long-term production and capacity planning.
- Analyze forecasts, incoming orders, order backlog, product mix, and production data.
- Reconcile future demand with available capacities concerning machinery, personnel, and production resources.
- Identify capacity bottlenecks and overcapacities, and develop corresponding scenarios and recommendations.
- Transparently present capacities, risks, scenarios, and decision requirements to management and relevant interfaces.
- Build and further develop key performance indicators and planning tools for data-based production control.
- Identify potential for improvement regarding lead times, inventory, capacity utilization, and delivery reliability.
Requirements
- Completed commercial or technical apprenticeship or degree, ideally with a focus on production, supply chain, logistics, or business administration.
- Several years of experience in production planning, supply chain, work preparation, or production control.
- Strong analytical and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Ability to analyze complex data and independently derive decisions and recommendations.
- Good understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and operational contexts.
- Strong communication and assertiveness skills.
- Structured, independent, and proactive work style.
- Very good Excel/MS Office skills.
- Very good German and good English language skills.
- Experience with ERP/MES systems is an advantage.
