About the Role

This role is with Edeneve, our natural cosmetics brand, seeking a working student in cosmetic science to support formulation and product development in Berlin. The position is hands-on and lab-oriented, ideal for students wanting to translate scientific knowledge into skincare products. You will collaborate closely with experienced formulators throughout the development process from lab conception to market.

Responsibilities

Support the development and optimization of cosmetic formulations with a focus on natural ingredients.
Independently conduct practical laboratory experiments and prepare samples.
Perform and evaluate stability, compatibility tests, and basic quality controls.
Evaluate raw materials, active ingredients, and functional ingredients for efficacy and sustainability.
Precisely document experimental results and specifications for the product information file (PIF).
Maintain high laboratory standards and upkeep of equipment (e.g., pH meters, viscometers, centrifuges).
Adhere to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines and internal safety standards.
Collaborate with product development, regulatory affairs, and external testing laboratories.

Requirements

Enrolled in a degree program for Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related natural science field.
Initial practical or academic experience in cosmetic formulation or a laboratory setting.
Basic knowledge of GMP/GLP guidelines and familiarity with common laboratory equipment.
Solid fundamental understanding of cosmetic formulations, especially skincare.
Passion for Green Chemistry, Clean Beauty, and sustainable raw materials.
Structured, precise, and reliable working method.
Willingness for regular, reliable on-site presence in the laboratory in Berlin.
Very good English language skills; German language skills are an advantage.
