About the Role

You will be the technical voice on sales and onboarding calls, the first stop for anyone at Zinc with an integration question, and the owner of how our integrations are set up, supported and enabled. You will work closely with Product and Tech as we build new integrations and bring new partners on board. This is a customer-facing technical role where you will read API docs, make test calls, and explain findings to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Join pre-sales, sales and account management calls to answer integration questions live.
  • Explain integration functionality, data flows, triggers, and outcomes.
  • Identify and flag mismatches between customer setups/expectations and integration capabilities early.
  • Support customer HR and IT teams with integration setup, including credentials, field mapping, permissions, and sandbox testing.
  • Assist Customer Success with integration capabilities and customer queries.
  • Train Sales, Account Management, and Customer Success on new and updated integrations.
  • Manage the integration inbox and internal Slack channels, triaging, responding, and tracking requests.
  • Investigate and resolve failed syncs, missing data, and mapping errors, escalating to Tech with clear documentation when necessary.
  • Identify patterns in questions and issues to provide feedback to Product and Tech.
  • Track requests for systems not yet supported.
  • Build and maintain a knowledge base for all live integrations, including setup guides and internal reference materials.
  • Collaborate with Tech on scoping and building new integrations, incorporating customer and partner feedback.
  • Test new integrations from a customer's perspective before launch.
  • Prepare internal teams and partners for new integration launches through documentation, training, and demo setups.

Requirements

  • Around two to four years in integrations, solutions engineering, implementation, technical support, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with HR or applicant tracking system integrations, ideally including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or HiBob.
  • Working understanding of REST APIs: endpoints, HTTP methods, JSON payloads, authentication (API keys, OAuth), status codes, and webhooks.
  • Comfort using tools like Postman for test calls and response analysis.
  • Ability to explain technical details to non-technical individuals, both verbally and in writing.
  • A disciplined approach to managing a busy shared inbox and Slack channels.
  • Confidence working across Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Product, and Tech teams.
  • Ability to prioritize competing requests.
  • Knowledge of HR data models and processes (hire, onboarding, worker records) in Workday, SuccessFactors, or similar systems.
  • Experience with integration platforms or middleware (e.g., Workday Studio or EIB, SAP Integration Suite, Merge, Kombo, n8n).
  • Basic SQL or scripting skills.
  • Experience building a knowledge base or help center from scratch.
  • Background in screening, background checks, recruitment tech, or HR tech.
  • Familiarity with CRM and support tools such as HubSpot.
  • Understanding of UK GDPR in an integration context.
