About the Role
Become a certified train driver (locomotive engineer) for passenger and freight transport. You will learn to master up to 8,000 horsepower safely, reliably, and punctually. The training includes modern methods with simulators and e-learning, a significant practical component with at least 240 hours on the locomotive, and covers all relevant signals, operational rules, and safety regulations. Upon successful completion, you will receive the EU train driver's license and other qualifications. Experienced colleagues will support you throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Learn to master up to 8,000 horsepower safely, reliably, and punctually.
- Undergo modern training using simulators and e-learning.
- Gain practical experience with at least 240 hours on the locomotive.
- Learn all relevant signals, operational rules, and safety regulations.
- Obtain the EU train driver's license and other qualifications.
Requirements
- Eligibility for a Bildungsgutschein (education voucher) from employment agencies, job centers, pension providers, etc.
- Flexibility, motivation, and willingness to learn.
- Minimum age of 20 years.
- Minimum of a Hauptschulabschluss (basic secondary school leaving certificate) or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Willingness to work shifts nationwide.
- Good German language skills (minimum B2 level) with certificate or a German passport.
- Good health and psychological resilience.
