About the Role
At Youtrust, we build a European digital trust platform used by thousands of businesses through our app and our API. The product must remain simple for tens of thousands of client companies and millions of users, while meeting strict security and compliance requirements. You will join one of our autonomous squads, owning both build and run responsibilities, including design, shipping, deployment, and maintenance of features.
Responsibilities
- Design and build features with your squad's developers, designer, and Product Manager, working toward a clear objective (OKR).
- Analyze product needs and propose a technical design that fits, documented in Architecture Decision Records.
- Maintain high code quality through design patterns, maintainable and testable code, and automated tests.
- Ensure observability, performance, and security, and maintain the smooth running of shipped features in production.
- Utilize AI tools and agentic workflows to accelerate code design, writing, testing, and review without compromising quality.
- Communicate work progress clearly and regularly.
- Actively participate in team life by offering and seeking help.
- Work with Lean and agile methods, including dailies, short iterations, demos, and retrospectives.
- Share knowledge with the tech community through blog posts, meetups, or conferences, if desired.
Requirements
- Solid experience in building products with real impact.
- Mastery of back-end development in PHP and at least one framework such as Symfony or Laravel.
- Experience working with a relational database and an ORM.
- Understanding of continuous integration principles.
- Prioritization of code quality: maintainable, testable code covered by automated tests.
- Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex, including advanced workflows like agents, multi-step tasks, custom instructions, and context.
- Clear communication skills and ability to mentor other developers.
- Strong teamwork, listening, and empathy skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Full-stack affinity: comfort with React and TypeScript is a significant plus.
- Detailed understanding of running APIs in production, including alerting, monitoring, and performance.
- Experience in a B2B SaaS company or at a software vendor is a plus.
- Participation in the tech community through content creation or speaking at events is a plus.
