About the Role
The Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) team aims to streamline the technical product catalog and provide turnkey services for IT teams, enabling them to focus on developing high-impact features. You will join the Cloud Dev team, responsible for delivering essential cloud functionalities using best practices in software engineering to unify, secure, and optimize platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design clean, robust, and maintainable code creating abstraction layers above the Cloud using Software Engineering and Software Architecture best practices.
- Develop and industrialize APIs, internal tools, and infrastructure modules in Python and Go.
- Consume and orchestrate Serverless services (Google Cloud Functions, Google Workflows) and modernize deployment tooling.
- Design, test, and deploy infrastructure consistently and automatically with Terraform.
- Build and optimize modern CI/CD pipelines (preferably with GitHub Actions) integrating DevSecOps security standards from the design phase.
- Automate recurring tasks through scripting (Python, Bash) to reduce manual effort and maximize reliability.
- Collaborate closely with Network, Security, and Database teams to ensure smooth, performant, and secure integrations.
- Act as a Run Captain, handling Level 2/3 support, incident analysis, and service request processing to ensure operational stability.
- Contribute to defining and adhering to SLO/SLI and reducing MTTR by automating the resolution of recurring problems.
- Write clean technical documentation and user guides to facilitate the adoption of platform services.
- Educate and train technical teams on best practices for using developed components.
- Participate in collective animation through agile management of deliverables in JIRA and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Python development with a solid mastery of modern software engineering practices.
- Strong skills and proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Mastery of Terraform and very good practice of CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitHub Actions).
- Good knowledge of automation (Python, Bash) and Serverless / event-driven architecture.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong sense of internal customer/user satisfaction, rigor in documentation, and ease in solving complex problems.
- Fluent English, both spoken and written, B2 level minimum.
- Knowledge of the Go language is a plus.
- Experience with Google Workflows is a plus.
- A GCP certification (Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Developer) is a plus.
