About the Role
The Estimator assists in the preparation and review of various estimate types and conceptual cost analysis. This role may also support pre-construction activities, contributing to the development of work packages and risk assessments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and consolidate discipline estimates into the Proposal Estimate.
- Review design scopes and develop quantities.
- Perform productivity analysis of construction operations.
- Prepare direct labor estimates, distributable or contractors indirect cost estimates.
- Prepare contingency, escalation, and reconciliation for estimates.
- Perform comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects.
- Prepare management presentations.
- Update and maintain historical cost data.
- Review designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggest alternatives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and change management.
- Perform Scope Review focusing on Project Objectives, Deliverables, and Overall Project Requirements.
- Assist the Pre-Construction/Estimating team in developing preliminary Work Packages.
- Perform a risk assessment and participate in mitigation strategy discussions during the development of Project Work Packages.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include a criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
