About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Developer to join our Embedded Finance team. This role will focus on shaping the customer onboarding and verification experience for MYOB's payment products, working across the entire customer journey from information collection to activation.

Responsibilities

Designing and building full-stack solutions across customer onboarding and verification.
Developing services that support KYC, KYB, risk assessment and application approval processes.
Integrating automated workflows with manual operational review processes.
Working with adjacent teams across activation, invoicing and payment processing to create a connected customer journey.
Contributing to the team’s migration to Microsoft Azure.
Using AI-assisted development practices and helping evolve how AI is embedded across the broader product development lifecycle.
Improving engineering quality through automated testing, TDD and CI/CD practices.
Supporting other engineers through technical guidance, pairing and constructive code reviews.

Requirements

Strong commercial software development experience, ideally at Senior Developer level.
Full-stack development capability, with experience across modern frontend and backend technologies.
Experience with Kotlin or Java on the backend.
Experience working with React on the frontend.
Exposure to Node.js would be valuable.
Experience designing and operating cloud-based applications, ideally using Microsoft Azure.
Strong understanding of automated testing, TDD and CI/CD practices.
Confidence working across integrations, distributed systems and complex business workflows.
An interest in AI-assisted engineering and modern development practices.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across engineering, product and operational teams.
