About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will take ownership of user stories end-to-end, write well-tested and well-styled code, and become increasingly active in the wider engineering conversation, including backlog grooming, CI/CD, and customer-facing context.
Responsibilities
- Deliver user stories end-to-end with high quality and minimal rework.
- Ensure code styling and design patterns are followed, including meaningful unit tests with all code covered by the appropriate level of testing.
- Apply basic security concepts in code and follow secure-coding practices.
- Investigate and fix build/test issues in the CI/CD pipeline.
- Actively participate in backlog grooming and planning, providing reasonable estimates.
- Share knowledge with the team and contribute to the wiki; support onboarding of newer team members.
- Grow understanding of the broader system, including model-backed and AI components.
Requirements
- Typically 3+ years' related software engineering experience.
- Solid grasp of testing practices, version control and CI/CD fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of secure coding concepts.
- Communicates clearly, takes feedback well, and shows a proactive, collaborative mindset.
