About the Role
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will architect, implement, and maintain frontend applications and backend services that form the foundation of user experience at Alpaca. You will be responsible for the user experience and product development for Internal Tools customers, encompassing both frontend trading dashboards and backend systems. You will work closely with users and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality end-to-end solutions across the full suite of frontend and backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop software solutions across the full stack.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and dive deep into backend systems and infrastructure.
- Contribute to API design and product features.
- Own the delivery of high-visibility features/projects, from design to deployment.
- Mentor peers and influence the technical strategy of the company.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience using a modern systems programming language like Golang, C++, or Rust.
- 3+ years of experience in frontend development with TypeScript/React.
- Proficient with SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Proficient in HTML and CSS frameworks such as TailwindCSS.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven track record of building user-facing features end-to-end.
- Experience with REST APIs and WebSockets best practices.
- Attention to detail and an appreciation for design aesthetics.
