About the Role

Lead our navigator and content teams, partner with our Chief Medical Officer to expand into new cancer types, and build AI-enabled workflows to scale patient support. This is a builder role at a seed-stage company with real revenue, reporting to the Founder & CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and integrate Manta’s patient navigation service within the overall digital product.
  • Drive operations: set and track metrics, own the budget and staffing model, and scale as we expand into new cancer types.
  • Partner with the clinical team to help expand Manta's product to new cancer types.
  • Partner with the engineering, product, and design teams to ensure consistent human + AI support of patients.
  • Work AI-first: automate repeat work and build tools that enable a small team to serve many more patients.
  • Shape the strategy: decide the right mix of human, AI, and product in our care model.
  • Run fast experiments with clear success metrics and go or no-go calls.
  • Take on special projects as priorities shift, partnering with the CEO on key initiatives.
  • Hire, develop, and lead a team of care specialists (navigators and content).

Requirements

  • Led a patient-facing support team (patient support, care coordination, or member services) as a hands-on manager.
  • GM instincts: owned a budget, ran operations with clear metrics, and made decisions on staffing versus automation.
  • Healthcare fluency: comfortable working alongside clinicians and with HIPAA.
  • AI-forward builder: has automated workflows or built tools others use.
  • Fast learner: ramps quickly on new clinical areas and new problems.
  • Built or scaled patient support or care operations at a digital health company (Bonus).
  • A personal or mission connection to cancer and patients (Bonus).
  • You do not need a playbook, a large team, or a fixed scope to do your best work.
  • You see patients as the reason we exist, not just a market segment.
  • You do not need extensive guidance.
  • You can handle ambiguity, scoping, and prioritizing projects.
  • You can help set up AI tools/platforms to drive efficiencies.
