About the Role
Ryder is hiring AZ OTR Cross Border Truck Drivers in London, ON for consistent, full-time work on a dedicated route. Drivers will experience no-touch freight, live load/unload, and consistent home time.
Responsibilities
- Operate a single or tandem axle truck for picking up and/or delivering freight within the U.S. and Canada.
- Complete documentation pertaining to driving and delivery duties.
- Oversee all functions of the vehicle, including condition and loading/unloading of freight.
- Unload freight utilizing material handling equipment when required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 9 months verifiable experience in commercial driving.
- Must not have more than one moving violation or accident in the last 12 months.
- Must be able to drive a delivery truck with a standard transmission.
- Must have knowledge of the English language.
- Must be able to read maps and follow verbal geographic directions and function with a GPS or RydeSmart.
- Must have valid AZ/Class 1 license with air brake endorsement.
- Must have valid Fast Card.
- Must be able to drive in all weather conditions.
- Must have customer service/delivery experience.
- Must have proficient English written and verbal communication skills.
- Must work using health and safety methods.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
- Must have flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
- Must have valid legal authorization to work in Canada.
