About the Role
The Senior Director, Capital Planning & Analysis will lead a team of Financial Analysts in providing financial modeling and business case development for new capital investment opportunities, asset improvement analysis, and investor relations. This role is critical in supporting the Global VP Financial & Capital Planning, CFO, and Global Investment Team to enable the company's expansion plan.
Responsibilities
- Establish and oversee global business case modeling process, ensuring consistent methodologies and alignment with industry standards.
- Engage with the Investment Team and parent entity to align on investment KPIs and performance expectations.
- Oversee development of new site business case modeling scenarios and engage with support functions for capital investment approvals.
- Establish and maintain a routine for monitoring existing site business cases against actuals.
- Create Power BI dashboards for management reporting and analytics.
- Provide robust business case modeling and analysis for Joint Venture activities.
- Collaborate with Global Portfolio Management to support asset improvement analysis and investor relations.
- Create and maintain business case policy and process documentation.
- Review practices against industry best practices and collaborate to improve and automate processes.
- Implement AI-enabled activities to decrease delivery time and improve analysis quality.
- Manage and develop Business Case Modeling Analyst staff.
- Collaborate with Regional Management, other global departments, and global FP&A to obtain business case inputs.
- Support project sponsors in securing internal approvals, working closely with the Investment Committee, Land Site Selection, Construction, and the Tokyo parent company.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel required.
- Knowledge of IFRS.
- Ability to communicate complex Financial/Accounting terminology to non-financial personnel.
- Ability to work with different groups and levels across the company to build consensus.
- Experience evaluating and underwriting real estate, infrastructure, or corporate finance transactions or investment opportunities.
- Advanced MS Excel, VBA, and Financial Modelling skills, including the ability to produce complex, multi-dimensional models from scratch.
- Advanced MS PowerPoint and ability to condense and portray complex data into digestible project or opportunity memorandums for senior executive audiences.
- Strong IT skills, including the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Word, Power BI, and Outlook.
- Comfortable in high-pressure and fast-paced transactional environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English language, written and oral.
- Ability to work across different cultures, languages, and time zones.
